Academic Achievements:

We are a proud family of 1609 students 81 teaching and 45 non-teaching staff.

The highlight of the past year was the excellent academic achievement of the children of class XII,XI and X. A batch of 102 children in class XII, 125 in class XI and 121 in X std appeared for the exams and we are proud to announce that we got  100% result in all the classes.

“The Philosophy of the school classes of one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the next”.

I wish to begin with our performance on the academic front. Achieving academic excellence is at the heart of      our endeavour as educators. Academic achievements reflect a demonstrated ability to perform to the best of one’s ability by developing one’s intellectual potentials and skills with diligence and ardour. We are happy to share the details of the commendable performance of our students of classes LKG to XII.

Excellence in academics is the hallmark of any good institution and class X, XI and XII results of the school prove, without any doubt that our students have made us proud.

Higher secondary Examination:

  • I am glad to announce that our student T.Kirubakaran excelled in NEET and admitted in M.B.B.S at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College, Perambalur and K. Mukesh has joined Bio-Medical engineering at the most reputed Anna University, Guindy and J.T.Anbuselvan got admitted in Chemical Engineering at Anna University,Guindy. M.Mohamed Aathic got admitted at Government law college,Trichy. S.Jothika got admitted at the well established Shriram College of Commerce, New Delhi.
  • S.Jothika of XII – D reached 1181 / 1200 and stood first in school.
  • T.Kirubakaran got 1174 / 1200 and
  • M.Hema got 1170 / 1200.
  • There were 5 centum in Maths, 5 in Commerce, 4 in accountancy and 1 in Economics. In class XI, 582 / 600 was the highest score achieved by M.Sowmya of XI – D.
  • T.Raviraja of XI – D got 564 / 600 and M.Harini of XI – A got 562 / 600 and there were 4 centum in commerce.

SSLC Examination:

  • 121 Students appeared for the SSLC public examination held on March 2018 and
  • P.V.Kanishga Sri of X – D got 485 / 500.
  • S.J.Harini of X – D got 483 / 500 and
  • M.Kalaivani and A.Sariba Munovara of X – D got 482 / 500.


  • Mrs.T.Valliammai, Principal, TNPL Matric Hr.Sec.School received ‘Bharat Ratna Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam’s Muthanmai Sirpigal Award – 2017’ from YMCA ( a matriculation school association).
  • All India Teachers Association (MVLA Trust) , conducted a seminar on the topic “ Teacher as a role model”. Mrs.T.Valliammai, Principal, TNPL Matric Hr.Sec.School submitted the paper presentation in New Delhi and got first place among 518 teachers so she was awarded ‘Global Teacher role model award – 2017’ in the best teacher category, in Telangana.

Sports achievements:

Our students have never lagged behind in sports and games. Their achievements speak volumes about their abilities.

  • S.Punitha Priya of X – B has won the National level Gold medal and a Government cash award of Rs.2,00,000/- in the Under – 17 SGFI Tennikoit singles at Chhattisgarh. She is to represent India for the International level Tennikoit  competition to be held at South Africa.
  • S.Keerthana of IX – C got the National level Gold medal in under – 17 Junior State Tennikoit in Kerala.
  • S.Santhosh Kumar of IX – B has won the divisional level Gold and State level bronze medal for under – 17 Boxing at Nagapattinam.
  • V.Shyam Sundar of X – B received a gold medal in the divisional level under -17 boxing. He holds this position for the third consecutive year.
  • R.Sudharsan of IX – C  gets the divisional level Gold medal in the Under – 16 TNCA Cricket continuously for the past three years along with G.Gowrisankar of X – D.
  • J.Jagadeesh of X – B has won the divisional Gold in under – 16 Football at Madurai.

Co – curricular activities:

  • An awareness programme on the defects and dangers of online games was conducted on 08.09.2017, Mr.Abhay Kumar Singh I.P.S., Additional director general of police, Chief Vigilance Officer, TNPL presided over the function and spoke on the dangers caused by playing certain games like ‘Blue Whale’.
  • ‘World Ozone Day’ was observed in our school on 16.09.2017 Mr.S.V.R.Krishnan, E.D (Operations) TNPL, presided over the function.
  • ‘National Safety Awareness Day – 2018’ was celebrated in our School on 23.03.2018. The Chief guest Mr.Thangaraj GM(Paper and production) TNPL, presided over the function

Mr.Radhakrishnan, Manager(Safety), TNPL, gave speech about safety at home, road and work place.

  • The Kalai Aayam and INTACH, Tanjore in association with Southzone cultural centre, Ministry of culture, Government of India, Department of Art and culture and Government of Tamilnadu organized ‘Illanthalir – 2017’, a children’s festival from 27.11.2017 to 1.12.2017. More than 100 schools and 1500 children participated in the dance and music competitions held there. Our XI Std girls received the title ‘Ilanthalir – 2017’ from the chief guest, Mr.Parasuraman, MP and got selected for the National level competition representing the state.
  • Petroleum Corporation Reserve Administration (PCRA) conducted a online ‘sakshan’ national quiz competition. Our students P.Karthi and K.R.Sugadev of X – D got first prize.
  • “Aqua Regia” the science quiz – 2017 was held at Prem Mahal on 20th November 2017. More than 40 schools and 1500 students participated. 34 students of our school got selected and K.Prithiv and R.Atheswar of IX – E won IV Place in District level.
  • Kalai semmal M.S.Devasagayam memorial Arts and crafts center conducted Vallalar’s birthday – Drawing and Rangoli competition. R.Vijaya prabha of XII – A won the I prize, a cash award of Rs.1000/- and P.S.Keerthana of XI – A won the II prize, a cash award of Rs.500.
  • Karur Host Lions club and Karur Vyshya Bank conducted district level drawing competition on eighth of September 2017 in Lions Morning star.Hr.Sec.School in Karur. More than

20 schools participated on the topic ‘The future of Peace’.  S.Nikitha of VIII – A got selected for the district level competition.

  • Paavai group of schools, Namakkal conducted‘Rhapsody – 2017’ inter school cultural Extra – Vaganza.   Our XII Std students participated in group event , Ad – Zap and won the II – prize, a cash award of Rs.2000.
  • TNPL conducted ‘Talent Expo – 2017’ on 2nd October 2017. Various schools from other districts too participated. We got third place and won the overall championship.
  • Rotaract club   conducted   ‘Extravaganza – 2017’, a district level inter school competition at Naratha Gana Sabha, Karur on 19th of November 2017. We won the overall championship.
  • M.Kumarasamy college of Engineering, Karur conducted ‘Thiran – 2017’ on First September 2017. Our school students won and bagged many prizes. We won the overall championship in Thiran – 2017.


  • Fifty of our NCC cadets participated in combined Annual training camp held at Chettinad Public School, Karaikudi from 22nd december 2017 to 31st december 2017. Our cadets, actively participated in various training programmes like drill, weapon training, fire fighting, first aid etc., They also participated in many competitions and won the prizes.
  • Our cadets took part in the Anti – Plastic rally on 26th june 2017.
  • Along with JRC,NGC and Scout they conducted various rallies like Anti-tobacco, AIDS awareness etc.


  • 5th of June was observed as “The World Environment Day” by planting saplings of trees headed by the Executive Director (operations) of TNPL, Mr.S.V.R.Krishnan. Oath was taken to avoid plastic.


  • Many milestones have been achieved and many still have to be reached. We will continue our unceasing efforts to mould the young minds into well balanced personalities with confidence and zeal befitting the standards of this portal of education.
  • This report is a sincere attempt to show our progress in terms of achievements and activities during the year.
  • On this memorable occasion as I recount our success with pride and happiness, I wish to dedicate all our achievements to the committed effort of our management and my committed team of teachers. I humbly salute our visionary leaders and seek divine grace and blessing to guide us in all our endeavors.
